What is The Genius Lab?

The Genius Lab is a groundbreaking partnership between STEM Xposure Inc. and the City of St. Petersburg Mayor’s Office. Founded by local educator and visionary Robyn Donaldson, our mission is to "Expose, Equip, and Empower" the next generation of innovators right here in our community.

We believe that every student, regardless of their zip code, deserves access to the tools that build the future. That’s why we’ve designed a program specifically for students in grades 6–12 that combines high-tech learning with real-world workforce development.

Why Your Family Should Join

We know that parents in South St. Pete are looking for safe, productive, and enriching environments for their children. The Genius Lab provides all of that and more.

A Curriculum Built for the Future

The Genius Lab isn't just about one subject. We offer a rotating, four-quarter curriculum that keeps students engaged and exposes them to a wide variety of industries. The program runs Monday through Thursday for two hours per day, aligned perfectly with the academic calendar.

Here is a look at what our students will be exploring this year:

  • Quarter 1: The Tech Foundation – Diving deep into Artificial Intelligence (AI), the Science of Music, and Robotics.

  • Quarter 2: Innovation in Motion – Exploring Local Innovation, the Science of Beauty (Cosmetic Chemistry), and the Science of Sports.

  • Quarter 3: The Digital Frontier – Focusing on advanced AI, Cybersecurity, and Data Science.

  • Quarter 4: Building the World – Hands-on experience in Architecture, Engineering, and the Construction Trades.

Throughout the year, students will also participate in STEM competitions, leadership development workshops, and financial enhancement training to ensure they are well-rounded and ready for the adult world.
