ABOUT
The Genius Lab – created by the City of St. Pete and fueled by STEM Xposure – is an exciting, hands-on after-school program designed to inspire and prepare St. Petersburg students in grades 6–12 for success in school, college, and future careers. Through engaging, project-based learning, students explore high-demand STEM fields including robotics, artificial intelligence, cybersecurity, engineering, architecture, and design while building critical thinking, creativity, and problem-solving skills.
The Genius Lab will help students develop leadership, confidence, teamwork, financial literacy, and career readiness in a safe, supportive environment where innovation comes to life. Students also benefit from mentorship, workforce exposure, STEM competitions, mindfulness activities, and opportunities to discover exciting career pathways. The program includes free transportation, meals and snacks, and is offered Monday through Thursday throughout the school year, with special Friday or Saturday events. The Genius Lab gives students the opportunity to build, create, innovate, and lead while having fun, making new friends, and preparing for a bright future.
